I just wanted to tell you that I finished the sequel to “The Same Kind of Different as Me” last night, “What Difference Do It Make?” If I could buy everyone I know a copy of both of these books I would.
These true stories are basically biographies of two men in Fort Worth. One man is Ron, a multimillionaire art dealer and the other man is Denver, a former homeless man. Both of these men’s paths meet through Ron’s wife Debbie. Debbie has a vision to begin serving homeless people in the city of Fort Worth and Ron goes to support his wife. They eventually meet Denver and become best friends. The second book is a continuation of the first story. The basic idea of both stories is how God can use everyone and anyone to make a difference if they are willing. It’s an amazing testimony of God’s hand at work in the lives of simple people willing to trust him and love others to the point of being uncomfortable.
I encourage you to get these books or check them out at the library. The authors are Ron Hall, Denver Moore and Lynn Vincent. Read “The Same Kind of Different As Me” first.
